Copyright Licensing NZ is delighted to announce the successful applicants from the inaugural round of the new CLNZ Contestable Fund. This new fund is made available to support strategic projects that demonstrate publishing and/or education sector growth and development.

The projects receiving funding are:

New Zealand Book Council - a project to support and increase the profile of New Zealand writers through monthly Talking Books podcast interviews. The podcasts will feature a changing four-member panel of respected writers, critics and literary experts.

Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE) Authors’ Programme Management – Between 15 and 20 New Zealand authors will take part in the NZ Guest of Honour Programme at Taipei in early 2015. TIBE is the largest and most international of the book fairs held in the north Asia region. The authors who participate will take part in the exhibition programme as well as meetings and activities around Taipei and Taiwan. The Publishers Association of NZ is managing the programme in conjunction with Creative NZ, MFAT, Education NZ and MCH.

The next round of funding will take place in May 2015.
