Partnership Fund grant will help writers under twenty-five thrive

We’re excited to be supporting a free event for young writers at this year’s WORD Christchurch festival through our Partnership Fund.

Partnership Fund grant will help writers under twenty-five thrive

The Fund is aimed at supporting diverse writing communities and the next generation of writers, and is open to expressions of interest throughout 2022.

Our Partnership Fund grant to WORD supports Make it, Say it, Do it Now at the festival. This series of creative workshops is curated specifically for writers under twenty-five and aims to create a space for young creators to grow, gain mentorship and develop their skills. The event includes writing, poetry and performance workshops, as well as hands-on creative crafts, zine making and a rainbow reading club.

Make it, Say it, Do it is led and facilitated by local writers and creators including Audrey Baldwin, Emma Barnes, Kerry Donovan Brown, Dominic Hoey, Claudia Jardine, RikTheMost and Chris Tse. It will be held on Sunday 4 September at Christchurch City Libraries’ Tūranga.

Do you have a Partnership Fund project?

Our CLNZ Partnership Fund is aimed at partnering with sector groups that are connecting to, or working with, diverse voices and communities. We’re inviting expressions of interest, throughout 2022, to support publishing sector projects with grants that range in value from $2,000 to $5,000.

Applications that reach and engage communities of diverse writers and/or illustrators, including the next generation of writers and/or illustrators are encouraged to apply and will be prioritised.
