CLNZ Contestable Fund Grants
12 October 2023
Entries for the CLNZ Contestable Fund Grants will open on September 14 2023. Each year a portion of the revenue allocated to the CLNZ Cultural Fund is made available in a contestable fund. -
CLNZ/NZSA Writers’ Award
29 June 2023
Entries for the 2023 CLNZ/NZSA Writers' Award have now closed. This $25,000 award is one of the investments made through the CLNZ Cultural Fund and is open to writers of any genre of non-fiction, including writers of education material. The award enables the successful applicant to devote time to a specific writing project. -
CLNZ/NZSA Research Grants
8 September 2023
Entries for the 2023 CLNZ/NZSA Research Grants have now closed. These grants support New Zealand writers by providing assistance to writers who wish to undertake research for a fiction or non-fiction writing project. -
Creative Writing Tertiary Scholarships

Established in 2017, these Creative Writing Scholarships were designed to support students enrolled in Creative Writing programmes, motivating the next generation of writers. -
CLNZ Partnership Fund Grants

In 2022 and 2023 a portion of revenue allocated to the Cultural Fund was made available in a partnership fund. Expressions of Interest were invited for grants in the range of $2,000 - $5,000 per application. -
Creative Rights = Creative Reads Campaign

CLNZ/NZSA Writers PD Programme

The CLNZ Cultural Fund contributes to the NZSA Writers Professional Development Programme. This grant supports programmes aimed at growing and developing Aotearoa New Zealand writers. -
CLNZ/PANZ Training Fund

The CLNZ Cultural Fund contributes to the PANZ Industry Training Fund. This training fund supports three programmes and provides development opportunities for each stage of a career in publishing. -
